1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how Maven Pay Inc. uses cookies and similar technologies on the MavenPay marketing site, the MavenPay product, and the MavenPay mobile applications. It supplements the Privacy Policy.
We use the cookies and similar technologies that we need to operate MavenPay, to keep your account secure, to remember the preferences you have set, and to understand how visitors use our public marketing site. On the signed-in MavenPay product, we do not use third-party advertising cookies, behavioural-advertising trackers, or cross-site marketing pixels. On the public marketing site, we use Google Analytics 4 and PostHog only when you give consent, with IP anonymisation enabled and advertising features turned off.
3. Categories Of Cookie We Use
Strictly necessary cookies. These are required for MavenPay to work and cannot be disabled in the product. They keep you signed in, protect every form submission against cross-site request forgery, and flag suspicious sign-in patterns for our fraud-prevention systems. Without them, MavenPay does not work.
Functional cookies. These remember the choices you make so the product behaves the way you expect on your next visit. They store the language you selected, the theme you selected, and the regional defaults that you confirmed at account opening. They are written only after you make the relevant choice.
Analytics cookies. These help us understand which pages and features are visited, which paths lead to a signup, which marketing pages convert, and which surfaces are slow or failing so we can fix them. On the public marketing site we use Google Analytics 4 and PostHog for this purpose. Both are loaded only after you give consent on the consent banner where the law of your jurisdiction requires consent. We run Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation enabled and with Google's advertising features turned off. PostHog is configured to capture only pageviews and product-event metadata, with personally-identifying fields denylisted at the client. We do not use these analytics signals to build advertising profiles and we do not sell or share them with advertising networks.
Marketing cookies. These are off by default. They are not used on any surface that is shown to a signed-in customer. They are used on the public marketing site only after you give consent on the consent banner. If you give consent, they help us understand which marketing pages led to an account signup, so we can improve those pages. We do not sell the data collected by marketing cookies and we do not share it with advertising networks.
4. Third Parties
Where a cookie is set by a third party, we list the third party here and the purpose for which we engaged it. We restrict the third parties we use to those that we need to operate MavenPay, to verify identity, or to measure our public marketing site, and we contract with them as processors only.
Google Analytics 4, operated by Google LLC, sets cookies on the public marketing site only after you give consent. We have configured Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation enabled and with advertising features turned off. Google's use of analytics cookies is governed by Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy and the Google Analytics terms at https://marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/terms/us/.
PostHog, operated by PostHog Inc., sets cookies on the public marketing site only after you give consent and is used to measure pageviews and product-event metadata. PostHog's use of these cookies is governed by the PostHog Privacy Policy at https://posthog.com/privacy.
Bank-connection providers, including Plaid Inc., may set cookies when you go through the bank-connection flow inside the MavenPay product. Their use of those cookies is governed by their own privacy policy, available at https://plaid.com/legal/#end-user-privacy-policy.
Stablecoin and identity-verification providers, including Bridge, may set cookies when you complete identity verification or use stablecoin features inside the MavenPay product. Their use of those cookies is governed by their own privacy policy, available at https://www.bridge.xyz/legal/overview.
5. Your Choices
If the law of your jurisdiction requires a consent banner, we surface one on your first visit to the public marketing site. You can accept all categories, reject all non-essential categories, or choose categories individually. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie-settings link in the footer of the marketing site, or by clearing site data in your browser.
If you reside in a state of the United States that gives you a right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, the "Do Not Sell Or Share My Personal Information" link in the footer of the marketing site sets the opt-out for that browser.
If you use a Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, we honour it as an opt-out request for the categories that the law of your jurisdiction lets it apply to.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies will sign you out of MavenPay and stop the product from working. The product cannot route around them.
6. Retention
Each cookie has a retention period set in the cookie itself. Strictly necessary cookies expire when you sign out or when your browser session ends, whichever happens first. Functional cookies are retained for up to twelve months. Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics 4 and by PostHog are retained for up to thirteen months. Marketing cookies, where you have given consent, are retained for up to thirteen months. After expiry, the cookie is deleted by your browser and we do not write it again until you take an action that triggers it.
7. Children
We do not use marketing cookies on any surface intended to be used by a child whose account is administered by a parent or guardian inside MavenPay.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make a material change, we will tell you in the MavenPay product or by email at least thirty days before the change takes effect. The current version of this policy and its effective date are shown at the top of this page.
